Thanking Your Customers During the Holiday Season

Your customers are the lifeblood of your business, so this holiday season, make sure you thank them in a way that’s meaningful and fun. Here are a few ways you can say ‘thank you’ to your customers so they’ll keep coming back for more.

Use social media to shine a spotlight on great customers

Tweet to individual customers thanking them for their support, or reply to your customer’s Facebook comments with a compliment of your own. Social media is like a stage that the whole world can see. When you praise your customers on social media, they get to be semi-celebrities, at least for a little while.

Pamper one or two customers in a big way

You may not be able to do big things for every customer, but if you pick one or two and go out of your way to make them feel special, you send a message to all your customers that they are truly a priority. Whether you solve a problem they have, help a cause they support, or just surprise them with a weekend getaway, it could have a great ripple effect, reminding the community just how much you appreciate your customers.

Throw a party for your customers

This can be a great way to get your whole customer base involved, and it’s a really fun way to show your customers that you are thankful for them. Customer picnics, barbecues and outdoor concerts are a great way to say ‘thanks,’ and you can add small, personal touches, like photo booths and face painting, so the whole family can get involved.

Feed them

Whether you give them cookies, buy them lunch or give them a catered dinner with all the trimmings, you can never go wrong with feeding your customers as a way of saying thanks. If they insist that they don’t want the food, offer to donate to a food bank in their name instead, and the community benefits, too.
