Don’t Be Scared of Your Customers_ 4 Ways to ‘Treat’ Your Customers To Great Service

When it comes to your customers, nothing is scarier than the thought of losing their loyalty. After all, it takes a lot of time and effort to win over new customers, but keeping them doesn’t have to be difficult or frightening. Here are four great ways you can reward your customers for their loyalty.

Make it exclusive

Loyal customers who feel like they’re part of an exclusive group are going to want to stick around. Be sure that you offer long time, loyal customers exclusive benefits such as special discounts, loyalty shopping events, and even freebies. By making your customer feel that they’re in some sort of special group of people–or club–you’ll make them want to embrace your company’s culture and services even more.

Partner up with other businesses

You know you’re not the only business your customers deal with, but how do you show them you’re the best? You embrace your fellow businesses and offer even better quality to your loyal customers. Look for other local businesses you can partner with to offer reciprocal deals for your customers. You’ll not only treat your customers to a discount to another local business, but you’ll get traffic from the reciprocating business, too. This can drive new business for both of you while rewarding your existing customers, making it a win for both businesses.

Free stuff, no strings

Have you ever seen something advertised as free, then read the fine print and discovered that you actually have to make a purchase before you can get your freebie? Your business can do better than that. Offer freebies that are ‘actually’ free, like completely free shipping, free returns, or even free samples when your customers request them. Or throw in free promotional items when you ship out an order–free surprises are the best!

Go old school–write them a note

Email is great, but it’s highly impersonal. Why not have your customer service team spend some time writing short notes to your loyal customers thanking them for their service? This personal touch will not only warm your customer’s heart, but it will set your business apart as one that cares enough to ‘get personal.’
