Flexibility

Can the call centre meet the needs of all of your customers? Can they grow with your business? A good call centre offers flexibility, stability, and endurance, meaning they can grow with you as your business grows.

Flexibility also includes the availability of the representatives–can your customers get help at any time, day or night, no matter where they’re calling from? The more flexibility your call centre can offer your customers and your company, the better.

Call statistics

It goes without saying–if your call centre has a poor track record, they probably aren’t going to improve just for you. Check their call statistics–how long is the average caller waiting, how many dropped calls, how many call backs–all of these will tell you what type of service they are providing for their existing customers.

Company culture

This factor may not seem important, but it really is. How the call centre treats its employees is a direct representation of how it will treat your customers. If the employees are happy, motivated, and well-trained, they’ll provide better service. If they feel unappreciated, overlooked, and overworked, they are probably not going to provide your customers with the type of service they deserve. Try to get to know about the company culture from someone on the inside and you’ll get a better picture of who you’re doing business with.

Service

If you want to know whether the call centre you’re considering offers great customer service, try calling as a customer. Experiencing the service your customers will receive firsthand will help you decide if they’re the right call centre for your business. If possible, try calling at different times of the day and see if you get consistent results. This may not be the easiest way to gauge the call centre’s quality, but it is one of the best ways.
